A General Lines L & H agent is authorized to sell all lines of insurance (except variable products) that are authorized by the appointing or sponsoring insurance company.
INS e.t.c.'s exam prep classes meet TDI's requirement for prelicensing education. The licensing examination preparation classes are designed and instructed to help you learn, understand and retain the concepts and principles of life and health insurance. This is not a memorization class, but will help retain the knowledge to answer the questions as they appear on the licensing exam.
General Lines: Property & Casualty Agent
(Prior to February 2001, this license was the Local Recording Agent license and the Solicitor license)
P & C agents are appointed by insurance company(ies), or sponsoring agency, or sponsoring agent. A P&C agent may solicit business and write, sign, execute and deliver policies of insurance issued by appointing companies and may bind those companies on insurance risks. A P & C agent appointed by an agent or agency acts on behalf of the appointing agent or agency (referred to as subagent).
